Chances of getting deployed right away?

I am headed to BCT in a few months. Going in ACASP I am pretty much skipping AIT and going to my first duty station. Heard that Fort Stewart has units starting to deploy soon. Since that is where I am headed, is there a period after I first get there that I am not deployable? Just looking for a heads up as to how quick after checking in with my unit that I could be shipping out, that is if they are not already gone. Thanks for any info

Best Calliber for Beginner Deer hunter?

I'm going to be getting a Tikka T3 Hunter some time within the next few weeks here and I am curious as to which round would offer me the most forgiveness when shooting at a deer but also would allow me to go to the range and not kill my shoulder after only 15 rounds. I have shot plenty of guns before but will admit that I am still somewhat of a novice. My uncles have mentioned that I should get something that I am comfortable shooting so that I don't develop poor shooting habits from fear of the recoil. The largest recoil gun I have shot was the M1 Garand and once I learned to hold it correctly it was quite managable. Any advice will be much appreciated.

I don't think you're racist, but you have to realize that when in Rome one must do as the Romans do. When I was little I had a friend who was the darkest in her family and her mom called her negrita, and her sister who was larger was called gorda. This was odd to me, but in general just because it wasn't a part of my culture didn't make it offensive or wrong within their family. I'm from California and I live in Germany, and people here are very stand offish, and I can't speak to a complete stranger the same way I would in the state, that's just not how things are done here. Just started renting a flat and the shower is rubbish - what can we do?

It's not an electric shower, and the water tank is in the opposite end of the flat from the bathroom. Therefore no water pressure. It just dribbles out, it's useless. We are mortified at the thought of spending the next 6 months showering under this thing. Can we ask the landlord to have it replaced with an electric shower? let me just say this: You cannot ride pretty. A pretty horse could simply be the worst horse you've ever ridden. An ugly horse could be the very best. Do NOT go for looks, it won't get you very far. But if you were to find a perfect mix, then by golly go for it. I would say maybe the first horse just because she seems like maybe she has more time on her, but she would still require much of your time. The other horses are younger, so they aren't quite as advanced. I would even go as far as saying "keep looking". I bet you you could find a much more trained horse than either of the ones you've listed. And remember, don't go for looks.

Whoever told you cats can 't taste sweet were misinformed. That's why there are so many emergencies regarding antifreeze (tastes sweet). Cats, like humans, can contract many of the same diseases. every time we go to put him in his kennel he growls at us. He's trained to go in as soon as we say cage, and he obeys but he gets really pissy about it and makes a big fuss. He's very playful and loving and never bites (he does get quite violent when he has a rawhide or piece of meat he's protecting though. Because of this we never give him rawhides anymore.) but the growling is quite annoying to me, and I'm a bit concerned one day he'll snap. I've read growling while looking directly at you is a dog's way of warning you he will bite you if he has to, which will definitely not fly well if it does come to that. He's a big dog, and could do some damage if he wanted to (though I doubt he ever would.) Suggestions?

From Miami to Key Largo is about 1-1 1/2 hrs. Your best bet is to stay at a smaller hotel in the keys and save time and gas money. The bigger resorts are really pricey but you can utilize the nightclubs,bars and restaurants in them.Whale Harbor has a nice seafood buffet in Islamorada, a little expensive but lots of fresh seafood and you can walk along the docks and see the fishing charter boats. Kelly's Motel in Key Largo is pretty decent but nothing fancy. For snorkleing find a boat that goes to the Christ statue. Can be crowded but the reefs are worth it.

I used to hate eating. I guess it's when I looked in a mirror sometime (I'm not sure when) and just didn't like what I saw. So I tried to eat as little as possible, pouring away the milk my parents gave me each morning and evening (because I was horrified by the fat content, not realizing how much healthy it is for me) and often skipped lunch entirely. I avoided sweets entirely and examined the fat content of everything. That was a year ago, and I was in 8th grade then. Since that time, I've gone through quite a bit of weight cycling. Gaining, losing,but a lot of gaining...I am about 5'6" and I probably now weigh 105 to 110 lbs, but I haven't stepped on a scale in so long because I am scared. I am now (mostly) having my milk, but I am exercising too much and eating veggies alot because I still put my self-worth on what I weigh. Like, if I am 100 lbs people will like me more or something...well,let's face it, I'm not a very popular or chatty kid at my school. Just recently one evening I got upset because my parents wanted me to have an ice cream sandwich. I still look at the fat grams and calories of what I eat, and it is hurting my family but it's so hard for me to stop because I don't feel accepted by others and I feel like I have to change myself. My parents say if I don't stop that they'll make me go to a shrink and a nutritionist...and I admit I may need that but I hate making my family spend all that money because of a stupid problem I have. I've always been confused on that too. Easter also started out as a pagan celebration. I think that guy you talked to is right. My Schnauzer would not eat any of the dry foods I bought, even the "premium" foods. He is 7 and for the past 5-6 years he has been eating Royal Canin "Special 30". This dog absolutely loves this food and it makes you feel really good when a picky eater loves his food. It is very nutricious and my Vet agrees it is good for him. He won't leave the hospital because of his girlfriend jamie is in the hospital. She was in a terrible car accident and she is in a coma but she been showing signs of improvement. A question about schengen visa?

Hi, I have schengen visa issued by german emby in june 2005 and valid until june 2008 and it is type C with MULT number of entries. I visited germany more than three times with this visa and the last time was in july 2007. The question is that can use the same visa to travel to Spain directly from my country (Dubai) without going to germany first? In addtion i want to tell you that i will go to Spain in Feb 2008 for 4 days and at this time my visa will be valid just for 4 months sine it will expire in June 2008. Is 4 months validity OK or there should be a minimum validation of the visa?

What career should i choose?

hello i am currently in my first year in college and do not know what career path to get into. My two options are either to become a civil engineer or a sports physical therapist. I think they both make about the same amount of money. and schooling I think is about he same. I had chose civil engineering because my father owns a construction company and i have a lot of knowledge in this field and i know many people in the field, but im not so sure about this field because of the amount of stress and not that good salary. on the other hand , i Love sports and have always wanted to play professionally but i suffered a acl tear in high school and out went my dreams , and it seems being a physical therapist is more laid back then being stressed. i know every job will have its stress bu i work for my fathers company now and i have so much stress already. another problem is my father has his hopes up that i would become a civil engineer and he wants me to but im not sure it would make me happy. i would love to open various physical therapy offices and hope that it would bring me a good salary but i don't know if there is money in that also. im SO confused

Suddenly my tv has no tv signal. Why?

As of last week my Toshiba Regza got a basic cable signal through an existing cable and also through a digital antenna. Suddenly neither work and I get 100% snow. Every other feature on the tv works perfectly. I've tried everything in the menu, double-checked all the settings and the coax connections, and factory reset the tv. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated as I need my Olympics! Is there a unit inside new flat screens that can just break while all other features work perfectly? Thanks!

My husband's job posting in Honduras is almost over and we'll be moving back to the States soon. We have 2 labradors that have been with us for years. Their paperwork and vaccinations are up to date, so thats not an issue. In '02, we moved from Miami to Guatemala and the dogs flew on American Airlines - direct flight, no problems. In '06, we moved to Honduras. Now we are moving back to the States. Problem is, we cannot find an airline that will transport an animal over 10 lbs now!!! Or an airline that flies directly from the capital (Tegucigalpa) to Miami or Los Angeles!! We were told airlines only transport animals if it's a direct flight, if they are under a certain weight, and only certain times of the year... Anyone with inside knowledge about traveling/transporting larger dogs please help!!

Footling breech 37weeks+5?

My friend had to have her baby rotated externally and it caused stress so she ended up having the baby premature. They ended up doing a emergancy c-section on her. My first baby was breach all the way up to her due date and flipped. It was crazy but she was born about 24 hours later. You are full term so i would say that if they attempt to rotate and then you go into labor you should be fine as well as baby. Im not sure if they induce after they flip a baby that would be something you would have to ask your doctor. Hope all goes well for you :0)

Why do my 2' sunflower stalks droop all day and only stand up at night? They get watered twice a day.?

They grew from seeds and were planted when about 2' tall. They droop very badly all day and stand up straight over night. I water them in the morning and again at night. I thought they liked the sun but they look almost dead all day, then in the morning they are standing nice and tall. This is every day since they were planted about 3 days ago.

I now am best friends with a stuffed dog and an elephant. Where can I buy cat litter products in bulk?

We have 6 cats, so obviously the litter pan liners and cat litter adds up. I'm not so much worried about cost as I am about quantity. It's a total pain buying the stuff each week at Walmart. Because most of the people believe that global warming is not real. Because although Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" has all this data that shows how we alone are destroying the earth, there is plenty of evidence that shows that this is part of the natural trend of the earth's cycle. I believe that we are a contributing factor, but I do not believe that we are the main cause of global warming. Imaginative harment complaint?

I am working for a consultant company and I was contracting for a client company. At the client company, I got acquainted with a married woman through a meeting who was also a contractor but from different consultancy. She usually keeps talking non-stop, was very friendly, willing to help when necessary. Since she used to talk about all kind of things including personal stuff, I was also talking to her in a friendly manner. All of a sudden, it looks like she probably started imagining things. When my ignment was supposed to end at the client company, she filed a harment complaint stating that I had been following her and I had been staring at her office from the stairs. But, she never mentioned to me about this until the last day. Whenever I see her, she either has a smile on her face or say "hi how are you". I was shocked when I heard that she filed the harment complaint. Because of the complaint, the client company fired me from the contract position and asked me not to enter the building. I am still with the consultant company though. She is still working happily in the same client company. My consultant company had some discussions with the client company to get the exact details of the complaint. My consultant company asked me like around 50 questions related to the complaint and I answered them all. There is a committee in my company which will discuss about this case and take a decision on this. If my company decides that the complaint is false, can I file a case on her for punitive damages? In the worst case, if my consultant company decides to fire me or ask me to resign, what are my rights? Can I ask them for a third party mediation? Or, should I contact a lawyer? I live in Texas.
