What can I do about this ticket?

I got a ticket for driving my friend car while it was uninsured. The thing is I was not aware that it was not insured and my friend told be after I got the ticket that she left the papers at home... I found out a week later she lied about the whole thing so we have to pay over $1000. I'm a minor and have no money so I have a major issue.
